SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE - re-watched at home on DVD
Thursday, November 20, 2008
I finally got my second chance of watching SATC, the long but engrossing feature film that came out in May. And true to the television series that inspired it, the film too is just as involving and exciting upon second viewing, just as almost every episode during the series' six -year run was enjoyable through multiple viewings. For real fans, as I am, this film does not let us down. It leads us with a great update on the lives of our friends, three years later, puts some closure where need be and delivers additional hope for both romantics and cynics alike. It was inspiring to watch such a delectable [and glossy] sitcom on my MacBook Pro HD screen cuddling with my many pillows and lots of blankets with my best friend on the couch. Carrie and company are very familiar to us and very easy to relate to [in man ways] and are welcome companions anytime, even if they keep repeating the same old story - it's always something I am ready to listen to.
B+ with an outstanding script and infectious characters
